Do you have a store front?
No - we no longer maintain a storefront. That said we sell products on UBEREATS and DoorDash from our workshop and showroom still located in South KC.
What products and services do you offer?
All your sweet treat favorites in one spot: organic cotton candy, specialty ice cream sandwiches and gourmet popcorn, along with fresh baked cookies and many other treats and concessions items as well. All treats can be prepackaged and delivered, OR you can hire our treat trike to be on site where we can serve your guests. We are happy to pop up at any sweet celebration or event!
What makes your cotton candy different from the pink and the blue kind?
Our cotton candy is pale or white in color because we use a high quality organic cane sugar as the base with no preservatives or chemicals. There are no artificial dyes or colors added, so the fluff is pretty much pure white! There are a few flavors that come out light pink, and our caramel flavor is a light brown.
Does your treat trike have a photo booth attached to it?
YES! Our good friends at The Photo Bus KC are here to make your party even more fun! The mobile photo booth is fun and can be customized (for a bit extra) for your event.
Can the Treat Trike go INSIDE the venue for my party or event?
Absolutely - it's something that really differentiates us. We are happy to speak with any on site coordinator you are working with to make sure the measurements are a good to go!
Do you offer free delivery?
Yes, (for orders $100 or more,) in the KC Metro area (inside the 435 loop to the river at the north, and the immediate areas outside of that loop). Separately named cities outside of this loop (Blue Springs, Liberty, Leavenworth, Lawrence, Gardner, Stilwell, Harrisonville, Lone Jack, etc) will get the greater of either $10/10% fee. Farther travel will be customized to the event.
Smaller orders are limited to the South KC area via DoorDash or UBEREATS.
Do you ship?
Sadly, no. We tried shipping and it was not the right fit for us.

Is your machine loud or messy?
Not at all! We scoured the market to find the most elegant cotton candy machine available! Our machines are a boutique style, single service machines which allows us to serve multiple flavors one after the other without bleed-through. They are almost silent and all the mess is contained. Cottontale strives to leave our area cleaner than we found it.
How many machines do you have?
We have a fleet of single service machines in addition to our bulk production operation which allows us to cater to every event from 5 - 15,000!
How many people can you serve on site for an event?
We have served over 10,000 fluffs for one event, and have offered personalized service to a baby shower of 7 sweet ladies as well. Our machines make around 50 cones per hour, this typically is the perfect fit for 20-25 people, because we have found most people enjoy trying all the flavors!
How many flavors do I get to pick?
For live spin service you may pick 2, favors and toppers include 1 flavor choice. More flavors may be included for an additional cost.
If you spin cotton candy live at an event, can my guests take the cotton candy home in bags too?
When we're on site spinning at events, our sole focus is to spin directly on cones or party straws. However, we're happy to structure pricing in advance that would accommodate take-away service as well.
How many flavors of cotton candy do you have?
Over 40 flavors to choose -- subject to availability and seasonality.
May I create a custom flavor?
At this time we are unable to create custom flavors.
Will I be charged for set up and break down time?
No - each of our services billed hourly include setup and tear down.
How much space to do you need at an event?
It depends on the services being rendered, but usually a 10x10 foot print with direct access to electricity is all we need. Some situations call for much less space and others a bit more.
Do you bring your own table?
Each event is unique, so while we are happy to provide a standard folding table and stretchy black cover, this may or may not suit your event. Please plan ahead with us.
What is the nutrition information for your All-Natural cotton candy?
Our flavored sugar is organic cane sugar mixed with all-natural flavors from real food sources. It is dye free, gluten free, dairy free, GMO free, soy free, nut free and certified Kosher.
How much sugar is in each cotton candy serving?
Depending on size of favor or cone, it can range from 1 to 3 teaspoons per serving (a standard chocolate chip cookie has 2 teaspoons of sugar)
How long does your cotton candy last when pre-packaged?
Our cotton candy is a fresh product, so we recommend it be stored in a dry, cool area out of direct sunlight and away from any humidity. It may shrink slightly, but will be fluffy and delicious for 7-10 days.
Do you offer custom labels?
Yes! Custom labels are .50 each and must be ordered well in advance of the event (advance depends on details regarding the label and size of the order).
How do Drink Toppers work?
The cotton candy fluff goes right now top of the drink! We are happy to deliver to your bar service, or for an additional fee we can be on site for quality control and even curate a special toppings bar for the drinks.

We want to have cotton candy on our big day, what do you suggest?
We have done live spin service during cocktail hour, as a late night snack and even as place setting treats! We are happy to schedule a call if you'd like to discuss other ideas as well!
Can you spin cotton candy inside my venue?
Great idea! We love to do that, but if we have not previously worked at a venue before, we typically like to speak with them first. We are happy to speak with them if you give us the venue coordinator you are working with.
